I made it to Arizona on Monday! We landed at 11:48 at the Phoenix airport. The president and his wife greeted the group. We then left the airport and went to the Mesa Temple visitor’s center, which was a lot like the Salt Lake Temple visitor’s center. We then headed to the mission home for our check-in process. We then went to the president’s home. We had a taco salad dinner, which was the same recipe for Ashley's taco salad. It was delicious and tasted way better than MTC food! We finished the night off with family home evening. During the family home evening we learned more about the Robinson's. Then we went to our apartments down the street to head to bed. We woke up at 5:45 to workout. We did cross-fit in 95-degree weather on a turf field. It was horrible and hard to do. When we finished then we headed back to the apartment and I took a cold shower and got dressed for the day. We headed back to the mission home before I head out to my assigned area. My assigned area is Payson, AZ in the mountains. The temperatures there are a 20-degrees cooler than compared to Scottsdale. My companion is Elder Edmonson. He's from Oklahoma City. He's been out for 12 weeks and he's super nice and funny. We got to attend a baptism yesterday for a girl. She's the only one in her family that's a member. It was a terrific experience and I loved to see how it had changed her. The iPad apps are real helpful to use during the mission. It's been really hot in Arizona since I arrived (like 109-112).
